John J. Allen Scholarship

Ter nagedachtenis aan John J. Allen, afgelopen jaar met zijn gezin omgekomen in de MH17-vliegramp, heeft NautaDutilh afgelopen vrijdag aangekondigd jaarlijks een beurs te zullen gaan uitreiken: NautaDutilh has established an annual scholarship in memory of John Allen, who died together with his family in the flight MH17 tragedy on 17 July 2014. Using John's talent as an inspiration, we would like to help promising law graduates develop and excel in the field of intellectual property law. Zie voor meer informatie.

  • The John J. Allen Scholarship is intended to provide financial support for the recipient's participation in an LL.M. or PhD programme in intellectual property law.
  • Holders of an LL.M. in Dutch law with exceptional legal talent and a demonstrated interest in IP are invited to apply for the scholarship. Applications must be submitted no later than 31 March 2016 to recruitment NautaDutilh: secretariatrecruitment@nautadutilh.com.

Important dates

  • 31 March 2016 : application deadline
  • 11 - 30 April 2016 : interviews with selected applicants
  • 1 – 10 May 2016 : recipient to be notified
  • 17 July 2016 : formal announcement and presentation to recipient

How to apply?
The application must include the following documents, all in Dutch:
1. Motivation letter addressed to Ms Anne Marie Verschuur at NautaDutilh
2. Curriculum vitae
3. Two letters of reference from academic staff of an educational institution or an employer
4. Photocopies of relevant diplomas and transcripts
5. Other relevant documents as available, in particular master's thesis and internship assessments
6. Financial plan
7. Study or research plan
